FORSVUNDET I NATTEN

Kom til forpremiere på Forsvundet i Natten (Lost in the Night) efterfulgt af en talk med instruktør Amat Escalante og producer Katrin Pors.

Emiliano bor i en lille mexicansk mineby. Motiveret af en stærk retfærdighedsfølelse leder han efter dem, der står bag hans mors forsvinden. Hun var aktivist og kæmpede for arbejdernes rettigheder imod et stort internationalt mineselskab.

Uden hjælp fra hverken politi eller retsvæsen optrevler han tråde, der fører ham til den velhavende Aldama-familie, hvor han møder en berømt kunstner, hans kendis-hustru og deres smukke datter. Inden længe arbejder han selv hos familien, og kommer et skridt nærmere at afsløre hemmelighederne, der lurer under overfladen.

Forsvundet i Natten havde premiere på Cannes Film Festival og rammer officielt de danske biografer d. 9. november

Den mexicanske instruktør Amat Escalante er fast inventar på Cannes Film Festival og Venedig Film Festival, og han kommer til AARHUS FILM DAYS for at fortælle om sin seneste film, Forsvundet i Natten.

Filmen er co-produceret af det danske filmselskab Snowglobe, og producer Katrin Pors taler med i sessionen om samarbejdet.

Amat Escalante

Amat Escalante is a Mexican film director, producer and screenwriter. He is most well-known for directing the controversial crime thriller HELI for which he was awarded the Best Director prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, and for directing the 2016 sci-fi drama The untamed for which he received the Silver Lion for Best Director at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. His most recent feature Lost in the night was screened in the Premiere section of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. He has also directed multiple episodes of Netflix’s hit series Narcos: Mexico.

Katrin Pors

Katrin Pors is a producer known for bridging Latin America with Northern Europe. She has more than 10 years of experience working as a producer, executive and co-producer on numerous projects with some of the most esteemed directors on the contemporary arthouse scene such as Amat Escalante. Her most recent works include the opening film of the 50th edition of Directors’ Fortnight: Birds of Passage by Ciro Guerra and Cristina Gallego, the Directors’ Fortnight co-production The worst person in the world by Joachim Trier, and more.
